Anesthesia
The Occupational Safety & Health
Administration (OSHA) in the
Anesthetic Gases: Guidelines for Workplace Exposures
requires the institution to perform routine inspection and
maintenance of anesthesia equipment to ensure proper performance
and maximize safety. The
OSHA Technical Manual Section VI: Chapter 1 item 3.c
specifies the inspection and maintenance of anesthesia machines
every 4 months. TSP technicians are specially trained to
provide comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair services
on Anesthesia Systems.
Water Systems
Water systems used in laboratories should
operate within designed specifications to meet Good Laboratory
Practices. To meet the ASTM standards, routine maintenance of
the water systems are required in order to meet the high water
purity requirements. TSP provides comprehensive preventive
maintenance and repair services for water systems.
Audiometers
The Occupational Safety & Health
Administration
(OSHA) standard 1910.95 App E states requires that
audiometers be calibrated at least annually. TSP calibrates
audiometers in accordance with the American National Standards
Institute ANSI S3.6-1996.
Biological Safety Cabinets
Biological safety cabinets must be certified annually, and new biological safety cabinets must be certified before they are first used. They must be certified after any repair or relocation as well.

Balances
In order to generate meaningful analytical
results, the proper usage, calibration and maintenance of
analytical balances is necessary.
The Good Laboratory Practices Handbook outlines the
necessity for periodic inspection of balances. TSP assesses the
accuracy of balances and calibrates to meet manufacturer
specifications.
Audio Visual Systems
The Office Equipment Services division provides installation
support, user support and repair for audio visual systems
including projectors, microphones, speaker systems and AV
controls.
